LFG and the Nose-Spoon Trick

Young Fogey said...

"...Am I the only one who noticed the picture of LFG in the background, the one with the spoon on her nose?"
That would be LFG and some fella.
Onward. No spoons. Day one of school. Where are the years going?

I was always (and continue to be) really good at that. LFG and I must have been separated at birth I think (albeit in different decades. Ha.). Just wait until she learns to make a water glass "sing" at the table. I've got all kinds of horrendous etiquette up my sleeves ;)

Happy first day of school to LFG - may it be a fun and successful school year. (I was a safety patrol girl in 5th grade too.)

Ah, great pic! My eldest started kindergarten a couple of weeks ago. Where does the time go indeed? Gotta love the safety patrol kids in the carpool line - they can certainly slam a door shut!

I love the mutual look of mischief on the two of you. A happy school year to your little one.

First day of kindergarten on Thursday for my daughter. She's thrilled. I'm the nervous one.

Best to LFG. Do the safety patrols still wear the orange sash?

C'mon. How'd you do it. If I properly source your fleece pullover, might you consider a spoon tutorial. Patagonia.

Is there no end to your talents?

Back in my badvertising days, I had a very elegant boss who, with the right amount of martinis under his belt, could "wear" up to 7 spoons on his face.

Thanks everyone. Just got finished helping LFG with homework...over a speakerphone.

NOT Patagonia....and the safety patrol belts aren't orange but my next sportcoat may be...right Eleganto? And anonymous you are a LIAR...there is no way one can do seven. If there is, I've gotta figure it out.

Yeah, but the "fella" in the photo was blocked by some eyesore in the other picture. I seem to recall little horses (*shudder*).

Daughter just got transferred from the worst school in the district to one of the best. She's enjoying kindergarten now!

I swear he did it. I couldn't even get one to stick, so I can't help you. (We drank much more back then; I'll have to track him down and see if he still has the talent.)

I laughed out loud the first time I saw this picture oh so many months ago and I laughed again this time.

Just dropped my youngest off to start her freshman year at the University of Vermont. I know she will do well but I still worry.

I was a Phi Delta Theta at a different school, so I told her to stay away from the house at UVM until I had a long talk with the brothers (possibly showing them my shotgun collection!)

Good luck to LFG, the beginning of the school year was always so exciting and full of promise. Also promises to my parents that I would apply myself this time.

Our family has been hanging spoons for years now - seems to have become a tradition when we are together.

Time does fly - JLPTG starts 8th grade next week. We start school later up north.
